..and I am a happy woman!
Me and Big Z went to watch Hossam Ramzy’s Egyptian Ensemble at Dewan Philharmonic last night, and today, he surprised me by taking me to a show (I don’t know exactly the type, but it is some sort of musical/comedy/swing music kind of show), by a bunch of UK artists, and the show is called Forever Plaid at The Actor’s Studio. (owh, I wiki-ed it and it’s actually an off-broadway musical comedy).
The first show, Hossam Ramzy’s was obviously my choice. Egyptian music, Middle Eastern/Oriental dancing – truly my thing! My show is soaring and intricate with many different types of instruments coming together providing many different feel. And there was dancing on top of that!
The second show, Forever Plaid’s, was mellow and swing-y, and 50’s music, and contained, and wittily funny. Very small scale, very relaxed, very well, Big Z.
I realised that even our choice of shows reflected our personality! How cool is that?
Ahh, I am just so glad that we are so different from each other, because it only means we can explore more things together that we would have never done, simply because it would not be our natural inclination. Yeayy to more shows!
