These past few days has been quite eventful to me. There are many things that I planned to do, somewhat slowed down by all the excitements, but I am slowly picking things up.
The house was in complete mess. So we woke up today, and cleaned them up real nice. Now it looks like a house again. And oh, we had 2 great IKEA additions to our house. So here’s the story, I want to set up proper office in my house for me. (well, my old office is my dining table, but the chair is now covered by Periwinkle’s fur and I keep sneezing so I can’t use that office anymore). So I want a new table and Big Z suddenly falls in love with this round side table that can be rolled and is perfect for whenever we have our tv-dinner, so we want to buy those. Suddenly, by struck of pure magical intuititive moment, I suggested we check out that ‘As Is’ section (things that they sold ‘as is’ because it’s their display). And we found exactly those 2 things that we want, all build and ready, with a little dent here and there (but who cares), at a discounted price. Wohooo! We are so happy we grabbed it in an instant and off we go. And now I am writing from my new office on my new ‘As Is’ IKEA desk
.
And I have been watching ‘How I Met Your Mother’ these past few days. Funny how I can relate to so many things that they talked about or feature, (and I have never been to US, nor have any American friends, or any real-life experience whatsoever with the land of Uncle Sam). It just shows that globalisation, westernisation, or well, americanisation goes deep down. While I like the funny stories, and the funny characters – I can’t help but realise that unlike FRIENDS gang (which is another series that all people in my generation love), they HIMYM gang hang out at the bars a lot. So of course, they are constantly drinking. I don’t think that is too healthy a show for impressionable kids (not me, cause I am an adult and cool
). So, any concerned parent out there – if you want your kids to watch the show, make sure you are there. If you are too lazy to supervise, just use your parental authority and ban it

I am so looking forward to my class today, I am very inspired by Serena and Hossam Ramzy’s workshop and boy do I have a lot to teach my students!
