Trendy Thursday: This is how it’s done
Ever since I started this Trendy Thursday category, where previously I showed a few of my hijab styles, I have been receiving e-mails and questions asking how did I wrap my hijab/headscarves.
I did wrote a few instructions, that was lost in translation as I am not very good at giving/writing instructions. I promised to do a video, but until today I haven’t bought one (because I am waiting for my old one to really die first).
So for those of you who has been asking and curious, I will share with you this particular wrap that is almost similar as mine. It is made by Sabrina of Sliceoflemon.com.
She’s so good at this and she did it so neatly! What made it really unique is because this how-to videos also helps hijabis who wants to wear their earrings with their hijabs. And I loooove my earrings so this video is perfect for me.
The difference is she doesn’t use a brooch to secure the scarves, but rather tied it using her hand at the back of the head in a bun. This method is actually better as it will protect your scarves from brooch marks, but you really do have to practise this. I used a brooch, that’s why I know about the brooch marks
. And now I am practising the ‘tying the bun’ method
She also wraps it quite nicely around the head, which I did not do sometimes. For me, I normally just flip the ends (I make it even length) over both my shoulders. I have a more messy relaxed style
Anyway, do check the video out here. Do let it load first to ensure smooth viewing. I hope this helps
