‘Festive Friday: Prayer for Inner Peace’
Girl A: Urgh, that so-and-so is so and so! *%&^&*&*8!!
Girl B: Really? So-and-so did that? OH MY! &^(*&&*%^^&^&*!!
Girl C: (they are talking about me?? arghhhh!! &*^*(*)(&&^&**)
One of the more common test presented to us by our Creator came in a form of negative people saying or doing negative things to us. I’m sure most of us knows how that feels like. Not so great isn’t it?
When that happens we became angry, and upset, and all-negative (we became the same person like those people!), and some would go to the extend of revenge.
This is hardly positive or productive now is it?
Come to think about it, what do we actually gain from being angry and plotting revenge?

Anger will only release much toxins into our body, creasing and adding the fine lines on our faces (ladies becareful!) and it’s anger is so bad an energy it will leave your body tired and drained from it.
Revenge. This is counter-productive, Since if we do bad to that person, because that person do bad to us. Then he will want to do bad to us, again becase we do bad to them. And than we want to do bad to that person again, you know where this is going..it’s not going to stop. All your time and energy wasted towards something meaningless that is not going to do anybody any good.
Therefore, we need to strengthen our mind, our inner self from the influence of all these negative people. There are many techniques on how one can do that, but one of my favourite is in the form of prayer.
This is also taught to me by one good friend and a great mentor of mine, Sis Zabrina, the Life Storyteller. Whenever bad things happen to me, I say a prayer,
‘O Allah, this so-and-so has done this to me, please replace it with something better/good things for me, for indeed, You are the All-knowing and the Most Merciful’,
there and than on the spot! (quitely in my heart of course).
I have tried many techniques before, some worked better than others, but maybe because of my Way of Life, I found this prayer form is the best!
It inculcates my Faith in the Almighty, it diminishes any negative feelings I might have for the said person who does bad things to me, and it gives me hope and happiness expecting great things from the Almighty.
I am really thankful for the piece of advice Sis Zabrina gave me. It helped me a lot in facing such challenges (those who read my blog knows that I faced quite a few of that challenges in the past and how I ranted about it here! eheh) In fact, this prayer can be recited when one is faced with any challenges at all.
